St Mary's Catholic High School is a specialist mathematics and computing college
St Mary's offers a wide range of activities to supplement the school curriculum at both lunchtime and after school. The PE department offers a wide range of sporting opportunities including football, hockey, rugby, netball, cricket, basketball and dance. The music department has choirs open to all age groups and an orchestra that contribute to concerts throughout the year. The drama department has an excellent reputation for school productions.
At lunchtime there is a SEAL club, a film club, a cross stitch group, chess club, Science and Geography clubs and an Eco schools group. We also offer additional academic support through homework club, summer schools and revision classes. School residential trips are run to France, Spain, Italy, the Battlefields of Europe and skiing in the USA. In addition there are residential trips in Britain and the opportunity to go on religious retreats.
There is a school Culture Club which allows pupils the opportunity to visit the theatre. There are opportunities for pupils to take part in liturgies throughout the year. The school is also involved in the Nowt2Do project in conjunction with GM police
